Long time no blog.....

I am so sorry this has taken me so long! Time is very limited these days. Our little guy is six months old and VERY busy!!! He has cut his first two teeth and surprisingly was ok with the whole process. I was expecting the worse but was pleasantly surprised at how well he dealt with it. He is really trying to crawl around but hasn't quite gotten it down. I am in no hurry! He manages to get himself around really well with just scooting. I have so many pictures to post from our spring break trip to Grandma and Grandpas and just pics of our little 6 month old. I am just going to post a few of everything to not overwhelm! That is the problem with getting behind.... so many pictures and of course I think they are all cute!
Just this weekend we had our friends Betsy, Eric, and Baby Brayden for a barbeque. First of all Eli looked like a giant but he was really fascinated with the baby. He did actually attempt to suck braydens thumb. Eli sees everything as something that could potentially go into his mouth. But surprisingly he is not a huge fan of food? Remotes yes.... food no thanks!! He is a goof ball. Eli's also quite the talker these days as well.. his favorites are bababab... and mamamama...I thought dada was supposed to come first but if you know Eli you would not be surprised that he said Mama first (not that he knows what he is saying, but I like to think so!) He is quite the Mama's boy these days. This is definitely a fun stage with our little boy. We love listening to his new words, and watching him play on the floor and in his brand new jumpy toy which he loves... the sun especially. I like to think it reminds him of his Grandma aka Sunny Sue! He will take it out and carry it with him in his car seat and play with it on the floor. He just loves that sun as you will see in the pictures. Enjoy all of our pics of our precious little boy.

Five Months ALREADY!!!!

WHAT!!??? I am 5 months old already???

I am not happy about these birthdays anymore! I am so sad that Eli is becoming such a busy little boy. I just can't believe how big he is becoming! As you can see he still is interested in everything he can get his hands on and shove in his mouth. I could hardly snap a few pictures before he had soaked his sign and put his hand through it! It is not going to get any easier I am sure! We are working on sitting up on his own and still holding off on the food. He loves to play on the floor with anything that will fit in his mouth and loves to be involved in the conversation. He loves the noises he can make with his mouth and the more spit bubbles the better! He is such a boy! Here are some pictures of Eli at home.

This was the best picture I could get! Can the paper taste that good? If you are wondering.... yes that is a mowhawk that manny has put in eli's hair! I got home from work and found my son with johnsons and johnsons baby lotion hair in the "style" of a mowhawk!! Can we say.... too much time on his hands :)MMMMMMM..... Paper!

4 months old!

I can't believe Eli is four months old already! He is getting so big. We went to the Dr. last week and he is 17lbs 11 oz and 26 3/4 inches long! For Eli, that is not a big weight gain! When I called Manny to tell him he actually said "Eli lost weight!" That is how shocked we were that he wasn't closer to 20 pounds it seemed like he lost weight. He is now holding his head up pretty well, sleeping through the night, talking and laughing and loves to grab whatever he can and put it in his mouth. I thought with all of his drooling and chewing on things he was getting teeth. The dr. checked and so far not teeth! As you will see in his b-day pictures he couldn't help but grab his sign and try to eat it. All I could think about was all of the potential paper cuts! We are definitely enjoying how fun he is at the age...I just wish it would last forever!






The weather was so nice a couple of weeks ago we were able to go for a walk almost everyday. Eli just loves to sit in his stroller and hold onto his bib rag and his Harry Elephante... thanks Leslie and Griffin!

Three Month birthday and Xmas...continued!

I finally found the USB cord so here are the pictures of Eli's first christmas at my parents house. I forgot his 3 month b-day sign so you will just have to pretend it is in the picture! I will be better prepared for his 4 month b-day.

Eli and his Grandpa had a great time together! Eli has been drooling like crazy... we are assuming a tooth is coming soon.

Eli instantly fell in love with his rainforest soother that Grandma and Grandpa got him for x-mas. He loves the lights and music!

He slept for 12 hours in his crib after his LONG car ride home from Tennessee! This is the face of a well rested boy :)

Look what Eli finally learned to do! Come to find out this is the secret to him sleeping all night. Since we got back from x-mas at G'mas and G'pas he has slept all night in his crib... thanks to the thumb!! It has been a blessing since he has never liked a pacifier. I didn't think he would ever find his thumb but I am so glad he did. Right now it is only a bedtime thing so I am alright with it. I was a thumb sucker so I have no room to judge :)

The Saturday after New Years it was over 80 degrees! We met Samantha and Alexis at the park for a nice walk... he still can't lift his head up! This was the best we could get!

We are really trying to help Eli strengthen those neck muscles so he can hold that big old head up we try to do tummy time as much as he will let us..... he doesn't like it!

First Christmas and Three Month Birthday

Eli's First Christmas and 3 month B-day

We had a great first christmas with Eli in Tennessee! I have included his professional pictures that we had done when we were there. The other pictures will be coming soon! (We have stowed the cord away in the attic by accident while unpacking!) Eli turned 3 months old on Christmas Day! He is continuing to get bigger and bigger. He is really becoming a very sweet baby. He loves to be held by mama but loves to laugh at his Dad. They have a great time together. But, Eli made a new friend.... his Grandpa! They had a wonderful time together in TN. He loved every minute of his grandma and grandpas attention and cannot wait to go back... or even move there. Before going to TN eli was sleeping in is pack and play in our room and waking up once a night to eat but ever since we got back from TN he was put in his crib and beginning with new years eve night he slept through the night! We thought maybe it was just a fluke b/c he had a rough day in the 10 h0ur car ride... but the next night he slept for 12 hours and the same for last night. In fact he has been napping all day today as well! Not sure if it is the quietness of his own room or if he is in the middle of a growth spurt! God help us : ) We are thrilled that the afternoon nap has returned but wish he would have slept this well during our visit! Eli is a much happier boy when he naps. Our best guess is that he may be getting a tooth or two.. we will let you know! He is sleeping a lot, drooling like crazy and has his moments of crankiness so we will see what comes about.
Santa brought Manny and I a video camera for x-mas so we will be sure to post videos of his precious giggle and smile. We just love every minute with our little angel and I can't wait to share with everyone!!

Actually, Manny said why not as I was covered in spit up...why they tried to strategically place Eli in front of it. Well, after seeing them I see why not!! Poor eli- there are some positions that just don't flatter him!!! My poor little chunky monkey!
